Metro motorcycle cop hospitalized after crash

A Las Vegas police motorcycle officer was hospitalized Friday afternoon after he crashed in the northwest valley, police said.
The officer’s motorcycle slid on antifreeze about 2:45 p.m. on the U.S. Highway 95 on-ramp from Durango Drive, according to Metro spokesman Lt. Michael Mauntel.
The officer was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the spokesman said.
