Metro seeks more information on body found near SR160

Homicide detectives are seeking more information about circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found near Sandy Valley on Thursday.

On Saturday they released a photo of Delroy Tatenda Ashton, 23, in hopes that someone might have seen him in the days leading to his death.

The Clark County coroner’s office on Friday identified the man, but did not reveal his hometown or cause and manner of death Saturday.

Police said Ashton was killed at a different location and his body was left near state Route 160, about 50 miles southwest of Las Vegas.

A motive in the case had not been determined as of Saturday afternoon. Police had not identified any suspects.
