Metro seeks woman after man killed in fight

Las Vegas police are looking for a woman they say is linked to a central valley fight that left a man dead Monday night.

A man called police to an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Swenson Street, near Twain Avenue about 7:30 p.m., where the caller said they had been in a fight.

When they got to the unit, they found the caller with injuries from the fight. Another man was found unconscious. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died.

The man's identity and official cause of death will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.

It's unclear whether the caller had been taken to a hospital, but he did not suffer injuries that were life-threatening, Metro officer Laura Meltzer said.

Police said the confrontation started after a woman, described by police only as Hispanic and in her 20s, knocked on a resident's door and asked to use the bathroom.

The resident escorted the woman to the bathroom and on the way back to the front door was met by a man who demanded money and property, police said. The two fought, and both were wounded. The woman ran away.

No arrests have been made and police are still investigating.
