Motorcyclist dies in crash on 95 near Wagonwheel

A motorcyclist was killed after a crash with a pickup on U.S Highway 95 just south of Wagonwheel Drive Sunday afternoon, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
First responders were called to the crash on northbound 95 just after 1 p.m., NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.
A motorcycle and a pickup collided, Stuenkel said. The motorcyclist, whose and and gender were not immediately available, was thrown from the bike.
The motorcyclist died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center a short while later.
There were lane restrictions in the area for hours after the crash. Traffic appeared to be flowing smoothly about 7 p.m.
The identity of the motorcyclist will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office when the family is notified.
