Motorcyclist in ‘extremely critical’ condition after wreck in southwest Las Vegas valley

Las Vegas police are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist in extremely critical condition Friday evening.
The crash happened just after 8:15 p.m. in the southwest valley, near Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard, police said.
Police said the motorcyclist riding on a Honda fell over onto its side. The rider was ejected, slid along the roadway and crashed into the back of a Chevrolet Camaro.
The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet cooperated and stayed on scene.
Fatal crash investigators, who only respond to severe and fatal wrecks, were documenting the scene.
The crash is still under investigation, police said.
