A man was thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with a vehicle early Wednesday morning, Las Vegas police said.
Around 1:20 a.m., a man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Durango Avenue near the intersection with Alta Drive collided with a vehicle, described as a four-door Ford also heading south on Durango, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said. The Ford failed to yield the right of way, he said. When the Ford's driver tried to turn left to 8450 Alta Drive, the motorcycle collided into the vehicle's rear. Police said the Ford's driver failed to yield right of way to the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in stable condition, Gordon said. Durango was closed in both directions following the crash, but has since reopened.
