Pedestrian critically hurt in Wednesday hit-and-run
A 76-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries and another man was arrested after a hit-and-run Wednesday night near the Strip, Las Vegas police said.
Gosani Vallabhdas of India was crossing Industrial Road near Circus Circus Drive outside of a marked crosswalk about 7:50 p.m., police said. He was struck by a 2009 Ford Explorer driven by Scott Lefkowitz, 52, police said.
Vallabhdas was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.
Lefkowitz fled the scene and was arrested later at his workplace, police said.
