A 69-year-old man was critically injured after he was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon in the east valley, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The man was struck by a Mercury SUV in the far left lane on southbound Boulder Highway, just south of U.S. Highway 95, about 2:30 p.m., while crossing the street from east to west, NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.
