Photos released of man wanted in connection with Saturday homicide

Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who may be involved in a homicide.

Police released surveillance images Sunday of as man they said is 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a red shirt, black pants, a black hoodie, a black beanie and dark-colored gloves, police said.

Police are looking for the man in connection with the death of a woman who was found dead next to a garbage bin behind an east valley business Saturday.

She suffered from neck trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

An employee of a business in the Sunrise Manor Center strip mall, located at 3310 Nellis Blvd., near Desert Inn Road, found the woman and called for police about 6 a.m.

Homicide detectives said the woman was approached and attacked behind the shopping center. The attacker fled the scene before police arrived, police said.

The Clark County coroner’s office had not released the woman’s name yet as of Sunday afternoon.

This is the second homicide in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2015.
