‘Poker Run’ a game of a different kind — PHOTOS

Motorbikes, shooting and poker combined on Saturday to help Las Vegas police raise money.

The annual Scoot and Shoot Poker Run brought in donations from participants who rode motorcycles between four locations around the valley, where they shot at a target of playing cards to build a poker hand. The best hand will win $500, and the money raised will help pay for travel expenses for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s honor guard.

Memorials in tribute to officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo, who were killed on June 8, 2014, will be attended by the honor guard using funds raised Saturday.

The Poker Run started at Las Vegas Harley-Davidson on South Rainbow Boulevard, and the participants rode to locations including Bass Pro Shops at the Silverton hotel and casino, and the Clark County Shooting Park on North Decatur.
