Police attempt to serve search warrant closes portion of Warm Springs

A segment of East Warm Springs Road was closed for more than six hours while police attempted to serve a search warrant at a southeast valley home, according to Henderson police.

Both directions of Warm Springs, between Center Street and Palo Verde Drive, were closed while patrol officers and detectives try to coax a person out of their home in the 1000 block of Brookside Court, according to Henderson police spokeswoman Michelle French.

Officers responded to the home at 12:50 p.m. to talk to the person as part of an ongoing investigation, French said. Police were still in a “holding pattern” at the home and were preparing to serve a search warrant just before 6 p.m., French said.

When police finally entered the home, no one was there, French said about 7 p.m. Monday. Warm Springs was expected to reopen by 7:15 p.m.

French said details about the warrant were not available because the investigation is ongoing.
