Police: Man shot to death near Maryland, Desert Inn

A central valley shooting left a man dead Wednesday afternoon, according to Las Vegas police.
Officers received reports of shots fired in an apartment complex courtyard near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road just after 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a man dead in the 1000 block of Lisbon Avenue, homicide Lt. Ray Steiber said. Investigators thought an argument led to the man being chased from the courtyard into the street, where he was shot and died.
The shooting does not appear to be gang related, Steiber said. The Clark County coroner’s office will release the man’s identity.
