Teen in critical condition after early morning shooting

A teenager was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting in North Las Vegas early Saturday, according to police.

North Las Vegas police said they responded at 3:52 a.m. to a shooting in the 1800 block of Quartet Drive, near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Alexander Road.

Officers found a teenage boy suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to University Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation indicated that an argument erupted during a party at the home. Shortly afterward, the teenager was shot.

The shooter or shooters fled the area before police arrived, police said. Police did not immediately have suspect descriptions.
