Teen wounded in early morning shooting near Chinatown

A teen was hospitalized Tuesday after a shooting near Chinatown, according to Las Vegas police.

Metro was called about 3:30 a.m. to an apartment complex at 4060 Twain Ave., near Wynn Road, where two people were involved in an argument. One person pulled a gun and shot a 14 year old who was in a car, police said.

The teen was taken to University Medical Center with wounds that do not appear to be life threatening, police said.

Additional information on the people involved was not immediately available.

Metro’s Violent Crimes unit is investigating.
