Triplex fire displaces 6 in central Las Vegas

Six people were displaced Monday morning after a fire at a three-unit building in central Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Fire Department responded at 8:54 a.m. to heavy flames at a one-story apartment complex at 2125 Houston Dr., near Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue, according to department spokesman Tim Szymanski.

No one was injured in the fire. The American Red Cross is assisting the six adults who lived there, Szymanski said in a tweet.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Szymanski said.
