A second man has died in an east valley shooting, according to Las Vegas police.

It happened at a shopping center in the 5500 block of Boulder Highway, near Tropicana Avenue, about 12:20 p.m., police said.

Three men were standing outside Bargain Smokes smoke shop when a fourth man approached the group, Metro Sgt. Matthew Sanford said Friday at the scene. The group exchanged words with the fourth man who left and then returned and fired a gun at them.

One of the men died outside the smoke shop. A second man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died, Sanford said.

The third man, who was not shot, is talking with police. There were at least five witnesses to the shooting, police said.

Police described the shooter as a light-skinned black man who stands between 5 feet, 10-inches and 6 feet, 3 inches, wearing dark blue shorts and a white shirt. He was last seen running along Tropicana.

The motive for the shooting as well as the relationship between the men involved was not immediately available.
