Two sought in killing of Vegas Good Samaritan

Las Vegas police are asking the public’s help locating two men believed to be connected to a homicide that occurred in the west valley earlier this month.

Michael De Angelo Scott, 21, also known as “Bones,” is described as standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds with multiple tattoos. Jehru Petty-Williams, 18, also known as “Louie Vee,” was described as standing approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds, also with multiple tattoos.

Scott is known to drive an older-model, white two-door vehicle, police said.

Cassandra Lee Cassidy, 24, of Las Vegas, was gunned down in the 1300 block of Westwind Avenue, near Jones Road and Charleston Boulevard on the night of April 17 by people shooting from a white two-door car, police had said.

She was talking to two “frightened females” who wanted to use her phone to call for help because they were scared of “males in a vehicle,” police had said.

Police were previously looking for a teenage “person of interest” in connection with the shooting, who was located a few days after police released cellphone footage of the teen. He was arrested on April 22, but police would not release information about the juvenile’s involvement.

The video shows someone filming from a back seat of a vehicle. The driver and the passenger were shown slapping each other. Metro froze the video on the front passenger who is seen turning to the camera. Police credited sharing information via social media with getting the boy to surrender.
