Woman in serious condition after being hit by car on Strip

A Canadian woman was in serious condition after being struck by a party bus on the Strip early Monday.

Cassia Reimchea, 36, of Vancouver, British Columbia, was hit about about 12:27 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard, north of Flamingo Road, according to Las Vegas police. The vehicle that hit her, a 2013 Ford E-450, was headed north on Las Vegas Boulevard from Flamingo.

Reimchea entered the boulevard from the east, police said. She was taken to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The party bus driver, 55-year-old Estanislao Miranda, of Las Vegas, called police to report the collision and stayed at the scene, Metro said.

Witnesses said Reimchea was not in a crosswalk when she was struck. Pedestrian bridges cross Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo at the intersection near Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, Bally’s and The Cromwell.
