Officials say smoke prompts fire call at Las Vegas Strip hotel

Updated October 13, 2017 - 10:06 pm

A reported fire at a Strip hotel Friday afternoon turned out to be smoke, firefighters said.

Clark County Fire Department crews responded about 4:30 p.m. to Aria, 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on reports of the fire, Deputy Chief Roy Session said in a release.

Arriving firefighters found light smoke coming from duct work and a stove at Jean Georges Steakhouse inside the hotel. They worked with hotel maintenance to check out the duct work and confirm there wasn’t a fire, the release said.

Nobody was hurt and damage hadn’t been estimated Friday evening.
