Jersey-bound flight makes emergency stop in Vegas

A Virgin Airlines flight en route to New Jersey from California was diverted to McCarran International Airport on Friday morning after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit, according to airport officials.

The Air Bus A320 heading to Newark, N.J., from San Francisco made the emergency landing about 9:15 a.m. There were 134 people on board.

No injuries or damages were reported.

An updated flight plan was not immediately available.
