Tonight’s closure of Airport Connector ramps postponed

Airport Connector ramps will not be closing Thursday night, according to Clark County.

The expected closure of the on- and offramps connecting eastbound 215 Beltway and the Airport Connector is being pushed to next week, spokesman Dan Kulin said.

The affected ramps bring traffic from the southbound Airport Connector to the eastbound Beltway, and from the eastbound Beltway to the northbound Airport Connector, also known as Interstate 215 exit 10.

The delayed closures are part of the Phase 2- Airport Connector Project, which includes construction of a flyover ramp and bridge connecting southbound Aiport Connector to the eastbound Beltway, widening the offramp from the eastbound Beltway to Warm Springs Road and construction of a bridge for that offramp, and the widening of a bridge carrying westbound Beltway traffic over the Airport Connector.

This project is expected to be finished in fall 2017.

The county will announce the rescheduled closure dates later.

The Public Works Department has set up a page on Clark County’s website at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/PubWorks to provide details on the project’s scope. The public can also contact the department at 702-455-6000 or via email at InTheWorks@ClarkCountyNV.gov for information.
