Above-average temps expected this week in Las Vegas

After a typical forecast Tuesday, above-average temps will swoop into the Las Vegas Valley by the end of this week.

Tuesday's expected high is 58 degrees with a morning low of 43, but by Friday the high should be 65, about 7 degrees above normal for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

Lows will remain in the low to mid-40s. And though there's no chance of rain, the valley will be covered with clouds this week.

On Mount Charleston, the chance for precipitation — including snow showers — is about 20 percent.

NSW meteorologist Jim Harrison said winds this week will be "fairly light."
