Warm temps to continue through last February weekend in Las Vegas

Warm temperatures near 80 degrees are expected for the remainder of the weekend and into next week, National Weather Service meteorologist Caleb Steele said.

Saturday's high was 81 degrees, just 2 degrees shy of the 1986 high of 83 degrees, according to the weather service. The low overnight was expected to be 53 degrees, and the high Sunday is expected to be 78 degrees.

The coming week will bring "more of the same," weather service meteorologist John Adair said. No rain is expected next week.

The skies should remain "pretty clear and quiet," Steele said, as cloudy days are not expected. Winds are expected to remain below 10 miles per hour for much of next week, but could begin to kick up on Friday, Adair said.

There is still an inch of snow remaining on Mount Charleston with plenty of it just above the lodge, according to the weather service.
