Delano Helmuth caught three touchdown passes on Friday night as Bonanza routed visiting Pahrump Valley 44-13.

Helmuth caught touchdown passes of 40, 21, and 10 yards for the Bengals (2-2, 1-0 Southwest).

Bonanza quarterback Sterling Sprau threw for 133 yards and the three scores to Helmuth and ran for 44 yards. Antonio Beals ran for 121 and two touchdowns for the Bengals.

The Bengals shut out the Trojans until the fourth quarter, when Chase Williams connected with Daniel Carter for a 21-yard touchdown pass. Anderson Floyd led all rushers with 132 yards and a score for Pahrump (1-3, 0-1).

The Coronado girls volleyball team swept Bishop Gorman to win the Class 5A Southern Region final Saturday at Palo Verde. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
