BOYS BASKETBALL: Marvin Coleman powers Foothill to win

Marvin Coleman had 20 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists Tuesday to lead Foothill’s boys basketball team to a 94-64 win over Bellarmine-Jefferson (Calif.) in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational in Rancho Mirage, California.

Michael Shaw added 16 points for the Falcons, who outscored the Guards 34-13 in the fourth quarter.

John Platt had 11 points, and Mauricio Smith scored 10 for Foothill.

Tomas Butkus led Bellarmine-Jefferson with 34 points.

Faith Lutheran 61, Warren (Calif.) 36 — At Palm Desert, California, Brevin Walter had 21 points as the Crusaders downed the Bears in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

Nic Maccioni added 11 points, and Connor Nichols scored 10 for Faith Lutheran.

Canyon Springs 72, Lake Washington (Wash.) 66 — At Cathedral City, California, Christopher Hawkins had 21 points to lead the Pioneers over the Kangaroos in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

Kevin Legardy added 17 points, and Elbert Bibbs scored 14 for Canyon Springs.

Griffin Barker and Jordan Richter each scored 19 points for Lake Washington.

Bishop Gorman 80, Socastee (S.C.) 55 — At Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Chuck O’Bannon poured in 23 points in just 20 minutes of playing time to help the Gaels rout the Braves in the Beach Ball Classic.

Christian Popoola added 20 points for Gorman, which forced 37 turnovers.

Jason Cudd, a 7-foot-1-inch center, had 25 points and 15 rebounds to lead Socastee.

Cimarron-Memorial 58, Laguna Beach (Calif.) 47 — At San Diego, Demarco Alexander scored 17 points to help the Spartans top the Breakers in the UnderArmour Holiday Classic.

Keiron Hatchett added 13 points, and Brian Washington had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Cimarron.

Blake Burzell led Laguna Beach with 22 points.

Bishop Alemany (Calif.) 74, Centennial 69 — At La Verne, Calif., D.J. McDonald hit six 3-pointers and had 25 points to help the Warriors rally past the Bulldogs in overtime in the Classic at Damien.

McDonald’s sixth 3-pointer tied the game in the final minute of regulation. Alemany scored the first four points of overtime and went 8-for-10 from the free-throw line in the extra period to seal the win.

Troy Brown had 24 points to lead Centennial. Alijah Henderson added 11 points, and Darian Scott and Isaiah Banks each scored 10 for the Bulldogs.

Del Sol 44, Saddleback (Calif.) 26 — At Costa Mesa, California, Jonathan Spearman had 14 points to power the Dragons over the Roadrunners in the Estancia Coast Classic.

Del Sol held Saddleback scoreless in the second quarter, and outscored the Roadrunners 21-3 in the middle quarters to take control.

Citrus Hill (Calif.) 73, Boulder City 37 — At Menifee, California, Noah Gutierrez had 16 points as the Hawks rolled past the Eagles in the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout.

Justus Green led Boulder City with nine points.
