GIRLS BASKETBALL: Niara Smith leads Cimarron to double-overtime win

Niara Smith had 24 points, and Cimarron-Memorial outscored host Arbor View 8-4 in the second overtime to earn a 60-56 girls basketball victory on Monday.

Tasia Moore added 13 points, and Amoura Whitney scored 10 for the Spartans.

Autumn Westmoreland scored 22 points to lead Arbor View, which used a 13-3 run in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Kalli Hosier added 16 points for the Aggies.

Faith Lutheran 76, Shadow Ridge 59 — At Faith Lutheran, Bryanna Neagle scored 24 points to lead the Crusaders past the Mustangs.

Maddy Larson scored 19 points, and Madison Bocobo added 12 points for Faith Lutheran, which outscored Shadow Ridge 30-17 in the fourth quarter to blow open a close game.

Alexa Martins scored 25 points to lead the Mustangs.

Lauryn Calo scored 14 points, and Caitlyn Covington added 13 points for Shadow Ridge.

Pahrump Valley 37, Mojave 35 — At Pahrump, Jill Smith had 14 points as the Trojans defeated the Rattlers.

Isabelle Meza added 11 points for Pahrump.

Mojave’s Kiara Lemon led all scorers with 19 points.

Foothill 73, Silverado 30 — At Silverado, Rae Burrell led all scorers with 17 points as the Falcons defeated the Skyhawks.

Kylie Vint added 12 points for Foothill, which led 26-10 after one quarter and opened the second half with a 22-4 run.

Trinity Betoney scored 11 points, and teammate Holly Wood had 10 points for the Falcons.

Liberty 79, Green Valley 40 — At Liberty, Dre’una Edwards had 21 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks to lead the Patriots past the Gators.

Kaily Kaimikaua added 21 points and five rebounds, and Celine Quintino scored 10 points for Liberty, which took control early by outscoring Green Valley 25-9 in the first quarter.

Brooke Haney scored 12 points to lead the Gators, and teammate Samara Miller added 11 points.

Centennial 62, Palo Verde 14 — At Centennial, Justice Ethridge scored a game-high 17 points as the Bulldogs routed the Panthers.

Jayden Eggleston and Melanie Isbell each added eight points for Centennial, which led 24-3 after the first quarter.

Ariana Davis led Palo Verde with seven points.

Coronado 57, Basic 11 — At Coronado, Payton Caci had 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals to help the Cougars to the easy win over the Wolves.

Haley Tyrell added 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and six steals for Coronado, which led 41-6 at halftime.

Cheyenne 43, Western 21 — At Cheyenne, Ejanae Coopwood had 13 points to lead the Desert Shields over the Warriors.

Da’Vione Lomax had 10 rebounds for Cheyenne, which used a 20-1 second-quarter run to take control.

Adrianna Jones paced Western with eight points.

Desert Pines 55, Sunrise Mountain 17 — At Sunrise Mountain, Brianna Fitzgerald and Elasjanae Burns each scored 15 points as the Jaguars rolled to victory over the Miners.

Heaven Heacock added nine points for Desert Pines, which led 23-10 at the half and opened the third quarter with a 19-2 run.

Trinity Lavoll led Sunrise Mountain with 10 points.

GV Christian 34, Adelson School 33 — At Adelson School, Abigail Johnson led the Eagles with 11 points as they defeated the Lions.

Danielle Cheung added 10 points for GV Christian.

Adelson School’s Brittany Risko led all scorers with 17 points, and Caroline Altman scored 10 points for the Lions.
