Roundup: Desert Oasis falls in championship of Oregon tournament

Eliyjah Pricebrooks and Desi-Rae Young each scored 14 points for the Desert Oasis girls basketball team Saturday, but the Diamondbacks dropped a 71-43 decision to Southridge (Oregon) in the championship game of the Nike Interstate Shootout at Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Pricebrooks was named to the all-tournament first team, Young — who had nine rebounds — made the second team, and Dajaah Lightfoot was an honorable mention.

Cameron Brink scored 11 of her 20 points in the first quarter, and Southridge used a game-opening 15-2 run to claim momentum early.

Maggie Freeman added 19 points for Southridge, which led 36-14 at the half.

Ukiah (Calif.) 63, Faith Lutheran 42 — At San Francisco, Keona Claar and Kayla Proctor each scored 13 points, but the Crusaders came up short against the Wildcats in the West Coast Jamboree.

Madison Bocobo added seven points for the Crusaders, who shot 9 of 23 from the free-throw line.

Lani Lincoln and Natae Henson each had 11 points for the Wildcats.

Acalanes (Calif.) 45, Arbor View 32 — At San Francisco, the Aggies fell to the Dons in the West Coast Jamboree.

Serra-Gardena (Calif.) 68, Bishop Gorman 56 — At San Diego, the Gaels fell to the Cavaliers in the So Cal Holiday Prep Classic.

Canyon View (Utah) 38, Lincoln County 34 — At Ceder City, Utah, Brynlee Wadsworth scored 10 points, but the Lynx fell to the Falcons in the Steve Hodson Cancer Classic.

Pahranagat Valley 51, Lake Mead 25 — At Alamo, the Panthers defeated the Eagles.
