Roundup: Sade Booker leads Bonanza to third place in Vegas Invitational

Sade Booker drained five 3-pointers and had 28 points Saturday to lead Bonanza’s girls basketball team to a 56-55 win over Calvary Chapel for third place at the Vegas Invitational at Mountain View.

Booker made the all-tournament team for the Bengals, who led 34-28 at the half.

Calvary Chapel’s Tyra Perkins had 27 points, and teammate Midajah McCarthy scored 15. Perkins also made the all-tournament team.

Del Sol 45, Mountain View 10 — At Mountain View, Paige Burch had 33 points as the Dragons rolled past the Saints in the Vegas Invitational.

Birch was 7-for-8 from the free-throw line for Del Sol, which used a 16-3 second-quarter run to take a 23-8 halftime lead. The Dragons then outscored Mountain View 22-2 in the second half.

Del Sol’s Melissa Burnett made the all-tournament team.

Tech 56, Mountain View 8 — At Mountain View, Tayler Muwwakkil had 19 points as the Roadrunners routed the Saints in the Vegas Invitational.

Sadiya Mayo added 10 points for Tech, which outscored Mountain View 22-0 in the second quarter to take a 44-5 halftime lead.

El Rancho (Calif.) 64, Chadwick (Calif.) 32 — At Mountain View, tournament MVP Jaylene Oviedo had 17 points as the Dons rolled to the Vegas Invitational championship.

Pahranagat Valley 47, Lake Mead 32 — At Lake Med, Morgan Harris had 16 points, and Taylor Higbee scored 15 as the Panthers defeated the Eagles.

Shelbi Shaw had 12 points to pace Lake Mead, which was 4-for-23 from the free-throw line.

Oaks Christian (Calif.) 55, Clark 30 — At San Diego, the Lions defeated the Chargers in the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic.
