Roundup: Faith Lutheran shuts out Western

Amelia McManus and Riley Divich scored goals to lift Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over visiting Western on Thursday evening.

Maggie Shuirman had an assist, and Makayla Farnum and Naia Mesalic combined for the shutout.

Bonanza 5, Spring Valley 0 — At Bonanza, Celina Gomez scored three goals to lift the Bengals to a victory over the Grizzlies.

Julia Cox and Shayne Dunn also scored for Bonanza. Alicia Kestner recorded three saves to get the shutout.

Clark 2, Durango 1 — At Durango, Clark got goals from Taylor Clark and Luz Mera-Juarez to beat the Trailblazers.

Marina Bacon scored for Durango.

Green Valley 7, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, five players scored to lift Gators to a win over the Rams.

Nadia Campbell and Hailey Thomas each scored two goals. Devyn Parsons, Lianna Soifua and Taylor O’Neill each scored once for Green Valley.

Green Valley goalkeeper Ryan Sabol made four saves in the shutout.

Foothill 9, Valley 0 — At Foothill, eight players scored to help the Falcons blow out Valley.

Elise Bush scored twice, and Gabby Anderson, Paige Overbo, Sydney Babakitis, Amanda Carducci, Arianna Vigil, Amber Vokoun and Alexis Huff each scored once.

Tech 1, Virgin Valley 1 — At Virgin Valley, Analysa Zepeda scored midway through the second half as the Roadrunners rallied to tie the Bulldogs.

Adriana Carrillo assisted on the game-tying goal.

Rainee Brito scored for Virgin Valley.

Moapa Valley 8, Chaparral 0 — At Moapa Valley, Christie Eriksen scored four goals as the Pirates blanked the Cowboys.

Italia Bracamontes scored twice, and Bailey Bunker and Yasmin Rios each scored a goal.

Goalkeeper Jessica Leon recorded the shutout.

Desert Oasis 6, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, the Diamondbacks scored four first-half goals en route to a blowout win over the Mountain Lions.

Ashley Wood and Jacey Wood each scored twice, and Endya Scott and Brianna Lane each added a goal and two assists.

Desert Oasis goalkeepers Samantha Gato and Kelsey LeBoeuf combined on shutout Sierra Vista.

Liberty 8, Canyon Springs 0 — At Liberty, Makenna Ciska had two goals and an assist as the Patriots rolled past the Pioneers.

Angelina Maisano, Beyonce Rogers, Gianna Faress, Jimena Dominguez and Ylexus Gilliland each scored for Liberty.

Goalkeepers Ashley Bongiovanni and Leila McLean combined on the shutout.

Goalie Kirsten Kircher made 12 saves, and Camden Berry and Kennedy Enus led the defense as Bishop Gorman held off Palo Verde’s late rally for a 3-2 win at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex.

3A girls: Ava Seelenfreund’s hat trick seals Pahrump’s fate

Ava Seelenfreund finished with a hat trick and an assist as the Wolverines overwhelmed Pahrump Valley 7-0 to advance to the state championship game at noon Saturday against South Tahoe (24-2).
