Roundup: Faith Lutheran wins two in Reno

Riley Divich scored a pair of goals to lift the Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team a 4-1 win over McQueen for its to its second victory Friday afternoon in the Howell Memorial Tournament in Reno.

Maggie Shuirman and Ameila McManus added goals for Faith Lutheran.

Madison Sonerholm had two assists for the Crusaders.

Faith Lutheran 10, Sparks 1 — At Reno, Shuirman had four goals to help the Crusaders to a blowout victory in the Howell Memorial Tournament.

Sonherholm, Divich, Zoie Abdo, Taylor Day and Adi Radwanski all scored a goal for Faith Lutheran.

Gronauer and Day each had two assists.

Western 5, Durango 0 — At Western, Caro Acosta had three goals and an assist to lead the Warriors to a victory over the Trailblazers.

Joselyn Ochoa and Geraldi Gomez each contributed one goal.

Maria Yanez recorded two saves en route to the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 8, Truckee 0 — At South Lake Tahoe, California, Ashton Fink had four goals and an assist to power the Gaels past the Wolverines in the South Tahoe Invitational.

Samantha Nieves added two goals for Gorman. Jacqueline Hillegas had a goal and an assist, and Taylor Cox also scored for the Gaels.

Kirsten Kircher and Maris Findlay combined on the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 9, Elko 0 — At South Lake Tahoe, California, Fink had three goals and an assist to help the Gaels to a victory over the Indians.

Nieves added two goals for Bishop Gorman, and Hillegass, Mia DiOrio, Marissa Garcia and Alexa Fehlman each had goals as well.

Kircher and Findlay combined for the shutout.

Green Valley 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, the Gators and Mustangs played to a tie.

Taylor O’Neill fed Jazlyn Camacho for Green Valley’s goal.

Reese Simmons scored unassisted for Shadow Ridge.
