Roundup: Faith Lutheran goes 3-0 in High Sierra Tournament

Sydney Washington had 12 kills, and Kyrie Lorfing dished out 13 assists to help Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team to a 25-18, 17-25, 15-9 win over Yerington in the High Sierra Tournament in Reno on Friday.

Mary Vancura added 12 assists, and Alexi Johnson had 12 digs for Faith Lutheran.

Faith Lutheran 2, Madera South (Calif.) 0 — At Reno, Vancura dished out 16 assists to lead the Crusaders to a 25-14, 25-18 win over the Stallions in the High Sierra Tournament.

Washington had nine kills, and Lindsey Langridge had five kills for Faith Lutheran.

Faith Lutheran 2, Granite Bay (Calif.) 0 — At Reno, Washington had 12 kills, and Vancura added 10 assists as the Crusaders defeated the Grizzlies, 25-23, 25-20 in the High Sierra Tournament.

Lorfing had nine assists, and Langridge had six kills for Faith Lutheran.

Liberty 2, Spring Valley 0 — At Las Vegas High, Tehani Tapuala had 21 assists and three kills to lead the Mustangs past the Grizzlies, 25-10, 25-16 in the Las Vegas Invitational.

Alexandra Farnsworth had six aces and five digs, and Kayla Watanabe had nine kills for Liberty.

Bishop Alemany (Calif.) 2, Liberty 0 — At Las Vegas High, Farnsworth had four kills and two aces in the Patriots 25-11, 25-17 loss to Bishop Alemany in the Las Vegas Invitational.

Bishop Gorman 2, Liberty 0 — At Las Vegas High, the Gaels defeated the Patriots, 25-13, 25-16.

Watanabe had three kills and four digs to lead Liberty.
