Syria sends reinforcements east after Trump’s withdrawal plan

Syrian troops have sent reinforcements to the eastern province of Deir el-Zour close to an enclave controlled by the Islamic State group and along the front with U.S.-backed Kurdish-led fighters, a war monitor and pro-government pages on social media said Saturday.

Housing choice voucher wait list opens Dec. 27

The Nevada Rural Housing Authority announced that its housing choice voucher wait list will open Dec. 27 at 9 a.m. and will remain open until further notice. The housing choice voucher program is the federal government’s major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly and the disabled to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private market. Housing choice vouchers are administered locally by public housing agencies, such as the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.
