New England Patriots receive Super Bowl rings — VIDEO

The Super Bowl spoils were distributed Sunday night when New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft hosted the championship ring ceremony at his home in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

According to the team, more than 70 Patriots players and coaches were receiving their first Super Bowl title ring. Quarterback Tom Brady captured his fourth, though he became ensnared in a controversy over deflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game, leading to his suspension for the first four games of the upcoming season.

The Patriots went on the defeat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.

“I have been blessed to host four Super Bowl ring ceremonies, and just like the rings we present, we have tried to make each ceremony a little bigger and a little better than the one before,” Kraft said in a statement released by the Patriots. “Football is the consummate team sport. These championship rings represent all that the team endured and overcame together. The players on this team will forever be bound by the memories this ring represents.

“The presentation of the rings is one of my favorite moments. I love watching the expressions on the faces of each of our players and the range of emotions they experience when they see the ring for the first time and the pride they all have when they put it on. Tonight’s celebration is really a culmination of a job well done.”

The Jostens-made, white-gold rings include the recipient’s name on the top, plus the team’s four championship years: ‘01, ‘03, ‘04, ‘14. On one side, a depiction of Gillette Stadium is below the player’s diamond-covered uniform number. On the other side is the Super Bowl logo, the game’s final score, the team’s overall record (15-4) and the words “Do Your Job.”

The inside of the ring beats Kraft’s post-Super Bowl quote, “We are all Patriots.”

The top had the Patriots logo surrounded by 44 diamonds with the words “World Champions.” A total of 143 diamonds on top includes four Lombardi trophies, each a marquee-cut diamond.

In all, the Patriots’ rings, which the team says are the largest Super Bowl rings ever, include 205 diamonds.
