Villages welcome new year

Summerlin offers homebuyers looking to make a move in 2011 several options.

The community spans 22,500 acres along the western rim of the valley and is adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

The master plan is home to many social, recreational, educational and cultural amenities including more than 150 parks, 26 public and private schools, 14 houses of worship and nine golf courses.

Three dozen home floor plans as well as custom lots are selling throughout the community in five villages: The Vistas, The Mesa, Summerlin Centre, The Canyons and The Ridges.

Summerlin's first midrise luxury condominium project, Mira Villa, is selling in The Canyons village. Six home floor plans ranging from 2,071 to 3,851 square feet start in the $400,000s. Mira Villa is adjacent to Tournament Players Club Las Vegas, one of only two TPC courses in Nevada.

Ladera Terrace by Harmony Homes is selling in Summerlin's newest village, The Mesa. It offers three floor plans that range from 2,320 to 2,622 square feet and are priced from the mid-$200,000s. The village includes 19-acre community park and Bishop Gorman High School.

Seven designs are selling in The Vistas, a European-inspired village located west of Interstate 215 near Red Rock. Ryland Homes is selling its final two homes in Kingwood Knoll. Plans are 1,929 and 2,001 square feet and are priced in the mid-$200,000s. Five designs are selling at Kingwood Crest by KB Home. Floor plans range from 1,774 to 2,712 square feet and are priced starting in the mid-$200,000s.

Summerlin Centre West is the most active village in terms of construction and home sales. It features four neighborhoods offering 17 home floor plans. West Park Villas and West Park Courtyards by William Lyon Homes offers eight plans that range from 1,556 to 2,452 square feet and are priced starting in the mid-$100,000s. Traccia by Toll Brothers offers five designs that range from 1,660 to 2,012 square feet and start in the low $200,000s. Villa Trieste at West Park by Pulte Homes offers four floor plans ranging from 1,487 to 1,777 square feet and start in the low $200,000s.
