Forecast calls for ‘gorgeous weather’ in Las Vegas Valley

Conditions in the Las Vegas Valley this week should be “quiet and calm,” the National Weather Service said.

Monday’s strong winds were “a pretty small price to pay for the gorgeous, gorgeous weather we’ll see the next few days,” meteorologist Clay Morgan said. Significant winds are not expected through the rest of the week in the valley.

Tuesday’s high of 77 degrees was below the normal temperature for this time of year, which is about 84 degrees. But starting Wednesday, forecast highs will be “right back up to near normal,” Morgan said, “just sitting a degree or two below.”

Wednesday should reach 85 degrees, with highs near 80 degrees on Thursday and Friday. The weekend will start with a 78-degree high, the weather service said.

Overnight low temperatures are expected in the mid- to upper-50s.

Mostly sunny skies are forecast through the week, with no chance of rain, the weather service said.
