Marche Bacchus among best 100 al fresco restaurants in US by OpenTable

OpenTable on Wednesday unveiled the 100 Best Al Fresco Dining Restaurants in America for 2016, and one from Las Vegas has made the rankings — Marche Bacchus.

Marche Bacchus is a French bistro and wine shop at 2620 Regatta Drive in Desert Shores in western Las Vegas.

In a statement, OpenTable said the awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 20,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The complete list features restaurants in 19 states and Washington, D.C., and includes Hau Tree Lanai in Honolulu, Farm & Table in Albuquerque, and Perch LA in Los Angeles. California claims almost half the number of noted restaurants with 44, followed by Florida with 13, Hawaii with 12, and Arizona with eight. North Carolina and South Carolina boast three honorees apiece. Maryland, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania have two each. Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. are also represented.

Menus showcasing American cuisine are most popular; however, many highlight regional fare, including Californian, Hawaiian, and Mexican, and seafood is a common theme at coastal restaurants. Other cuisines strongly represented include French and Italian.

“Dining al fresco is a delicious way for travelers and locals alike to take in the sights, sounds, and flavors of a city,” Caroline Potter, OpenTable Chief Dining Officer said in the statement. “These winning restaurants have created delightful outdoor seating areas that provide a front-row seat to the natural beauty and urban vistas around them, allowing guests to commune with their surroundings while experiencing welcoming hospitality and fresh fare.”
