Police investigating central Las Vegas valley shooting

Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting in the central valley Thursday night.

Police responded to a shooting around 7:20 p.m. at an apartment complex at 4043 Silver Dollar Ave., near Pennwood Avenue and South Valley View Boulevard, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Corey Moon said.

A fight led to a person being shot twice, once in the chest and once in the leg, Moon said. The person appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries.
