Patti Shock, a founding member and academic consultant for The International School of Hospitality, has won three lifetime achievement awards this year. Shock received the first national Icon Award in July from the National Association of Catering and Events, and in October, she was inducted into the Convention Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders, the highest honor in the industry. Her latest achievement, the Legacy Award from the NACE Las Vegas chapter, was presented to her in November.

Delinda Crampton of Las Vegas was awarded the Certified Residential Specialist designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest nonprofit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Nevada Department of Wildlife Director Tony Wasley selected Reno resident Chet Van Dellen, wildlife diversity staff specialist and GIS coordinator, and Las Vegas resident Christy Klinger, wildlife diversity biologist, as recipients of the Ted C. Frantz Employee of the Year Award, the pinnacle honor for Nevada Department of Wildlife employees.

Air Force Airman Ian Colvin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Colvin is the son of Darryl Colvin and Inga Hale and the brother of Cherrelle Colvin and Jackie Bady, all of Las Vegas. The airman graduated in 2013 from Cimarron-Memorial High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Matthew Cadiz graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. He is the son of Rebecca Cadiz, Willie Cadiz and Tranquilina “Inang” Barrientos of Las Vegas. The airman graduated in 2010 from Liberty High School and earned an associate degree in 2014 from the College of Southern Nevada.

Ryan A. Quintanilla was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy. Quintanilla is serving as an advanced laboratory technician with the Directorate for Clinical Support Services, Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He has served in the military for 17 years. He is the son of Victoria and Rolando Quintanilla of Henderson.

Justin L. Reiter was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy. Reiter is serving as a health and wellness chief petty officer with the Directorate of Public Health, Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He has served in the military for seven years. He is the son of Felice and stepson of Frank Lozano of Henderson. He is a 2005 graduate of Coronado High School.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Kharlos A. Navarro graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Navarro is the son of Robert D. Navarro of Las Vegas and is a 2013 graduate of Shadow Ridge High School.

The Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities announced the appointment of Dr. Robert McCord as a Senior Fellow. McCord is associate professor emeritus in the School of Education at UNLV.

Air Force Reserve Airman Christopher E. Brown graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Brown is the son of Charles E. Brown of Las Vegas. He is a 2013 graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School.

Army Pvt. Danette T. Daguiar graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Daguiar is the daughter of Rico Daguiar of North Las Vegas and is a 2014 graduate of Mojave High School.

Army Pvt. Devin M. Dishari graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Dishari is the brother of Anthony and Augusta Dishari of Las Vegas and is a 2013 graduate of Spring Valley High School.

Army Pvt. Wilasinee Kittipongdaja graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Kittipongdaja is the daughter of Art Kittipongdaja and niece of Supeecha Kittipongdaja and Sumontha Kittipongdaja, all of Las Vegas. She is a 2013 graduate of Spring Valley High School.

Army Pvt. Marcus A. Ruth graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Ruth is the son of Kelly C. Love of Las Vegas.

Army Pvt. Rattanaphon Thamart graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Thamart is the son of Nicky Altman of Henderson and is a 2014 graduate of Foothill High School.

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Brandon Dew graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Dew is the son of Daphne Campbell of Las Vegas.

The 2015 Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA pageant, held Nov. 23 at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at UNLV, crowned Miss Chateau USA Brittany McGowan and Miss Clark County Teen USA Geovanna Hilton as Miss Nevada USA 2015 and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2015, respectively.

Army Pvt. Julio A. Zeron graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Zeron is the son of Lissette Zeron of Las Vegas.

Army Pvt. Silvia Parrasolis graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Parrasolis is the daughter of Rosario Solis of Las Vegas and is a 2014 graduate of Rancho High School.
