Las Vegas Natural History Museum celebrating 25th anniversary with party

The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year by hosting its annual Sundown in Downtown bash.

“We’re celebrating 25 years this summer and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a party,” Las Vegas Natural History Museum Executive Director Marilyn Gillespie said.

In its fifth year, the history museum’s annual summer soiree mixes bold rhythms, big drinks and small bites for one festive evening in downtown Las Vegas.

“Sundown (in Downtown) is always the talk of the town. Not only is it truly an indoor/outdoor Museum experience, but the whole community comes together to support our mission,” Gillespie said.

This year’s event will feature local tastes from Big Ern’s BBQ, F. Pigalle, Rachel’s Kitchen, Triple George Grill, Imperial Taco’s and Beer and the Popcorn Girl. The event will also have its first ever beer garden, organizers said in a news release.

The outdoor celebration is being held Friday, June 10 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Heritage Park, located next door to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum at 900 Las Vegas Boulevard North.

Following the event, Atomic Liquors will host the official Sundown in Downtown after party.

Tickets for the 21 and over party start at $35, which includes two drink tickets and all you can eat food from the various vendors. With VIP admission for $55, guests can indulge in all you can eat food and drinks. Couples and party pack VIP packages are also available.
