Death of man whose body was found in northwest Las Vegas desert ruled suicide

The Clark County coroner’s office has ruled the death of a man a suicide after his body was found in the desert in northwest Las Vegas.
John Daniel Orourke, a 27-year-old Las Vegas resident, was found in a desert area past a construction site near Cliff Shadows Parkway and Lone Mountain Road, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Police said Orourke’s body was found by a person walking near the area.
The coroner’s office released his cause of death a gunshot wound of the chest and the manner a suicide.
