The Clark County Fire Department responded to a house fire in the east Las Vegas Valley resulting in "severe damage" to the building just after 5 a.m. Thursday, according to the department.

A total of 24 personnel responded to the fire at 4774 San Sebastian Ave., near Nellis Boulevard and Flamingo Road, and quickly put it out, Deputy Fire Chief Kelly Blackmon said in a release.

The structure appears to be a vacant residence and no one was injured or displaced, according to the release.

The cause and estimated damage of the fire is under investigation.
