Man runs into Las Vegas IHOP, claiming gunshot wound

A man ran into a pancake restaurant near Boulder Highway and Flamingo Road on Friday night, claiming he was shot in the chest.

Metro police at about 6:46 p.m. received reports of the man running into the International House of Pancakes, 4860 Boulder Highway near East Flamingo Road, and claiming he was shot in the chest, a witness said. However, the witness, who asked remain anonymous, said that she did not see any blood on the man.

He was transported to a valley hospital in unknown condition, Metro said. Metro Lt. Harry Demetrius said that the man had not actually been shot in the chest, following the examination at the hospital. The man may still have been injured in some other way, police said.

Metro said a possible suspect may have fled in a white vehicle.
