Man struck, killed by motorcycle while crossing Boulder Highway identified

The man who died after he was hit by a motorcycle while trying to cross Boulder Highway in Henderson just before midnight Thursday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Thomas Brown, 56, was not in a crosswalk when he crossed Boulder Highway near Coogan Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist who hit him was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Henderson police said that neither speed nor impairment were considered factors in the crash.

Boulder Highway was closed for about four hours between the Skyline Casino and Coogan Drive while police investigated the crash.
