Catholic Charities to celebrate opening of English program's new location

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada plans to celebrate the grand opening of its English Language Program's new location at the Donald W. Reynolds St. Vincent Plaza campus, 1526 N. Main St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. Brad Deeds of the Nevada Department of Education is scheduled to speak and take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The program offers free English classes to the public and to the nonprofit group's Migration and Refugee Services' clients. Classes are taught by a professional instructor, and students have access to a state-of-the-art computer lab.
