Illumilatte Brew Society the new hotspot for coffee

Camouflaged in a standard suburban strip-mall, Illumilatte Brew Society, 6825 W. Russell Road, Suite 155, holds on to its mysterious character by blending in with its surroundings.

However, its interior is like the Central Perk from “Friends” meets a hipster cafe from “Portlandia.” The over-sized couches and upholstered chairs, coupled with the relaxed atmosphere, makes it the perfect place to play a game of chess, bury your face in a book or enjoy a mid-day pick-me-up.

The cafe offers a variety of coffees, teas, lattes, frappes and smoothies. Signature drinks include “The Illumilatte” with dark and white chocolate; masala-styled chai latte; Andes mint latte; and s’mores frappe. Most drinks range from $2.25 to $6.30.

In addition, Illumilatte also serves pastries, paninis, wraps and salads, such as the chipotle chicken panini (served with spicy aioli with Provolone); Forbes’ grilled cheese (using a four-cheese blend); honey balsamic wrap (made with turkey, walnuts, feta cheese and spinach salad mix); and the creamy pesto wrap (chicken, Provolone and arugula salad mix). Most items cost between $3.90 and $7.

Rumor has it that the shop also has a secret menu, but you’ll have to find that out for yourself.

Illumilatte Brew Society is open from 6 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
