Below average temps expected in Las Vegas Valley this week

The Las Vegas Valley will see sunny skies and below-average temperatures this week, according to the National Weather Service.

The system won’t bring any rain, but residents can expect some afternoon light winds with highs well below the 91-degree average for most of the week, the weather service said.

“There’s no rain forecast in the near future,” meteorologist Clay Morgan said.

Monday’s high was 85 degrees, Morgan said. Temperatures are expected to drop down to 78 degrees on Tuesday, he said.

Heavier winds are also expected Tuesday, with gusts up to 30 mph, Morgan said.

Wednesday is likely to reach 77 degrees before temperatures pick up again on Thursday and Friday with highs expected in the mid-to-upper 80s.
