We have neighbors facing foreclosure. Is it possible for them to stay in the home once the lender takes the property? This would be better for the neighborhood because at least the home would be occupied.

Evil, sinfulness not always easy to measure

Not all lying is sin. I get arguments about this from folks, but I hold firmly to the idea that there is such a thing as a morally justifiable lie. I grant you, it’s a slippery slope. But there are occasions when the truth is both cruel and unnecessary. If you always tell the truth because “honesty is the best policy,” then your honesty is corrupt. The point being that the work of honesty is much more rigorous than mere truth telling.

Henderson adjusts its municipal code to crack down on massage businesses

The Henderson City Council voted 4-0 to update its municipal code to target massage businesses and reflexology establishments caught soliciting prostitution. “This is definitely a step in the right direction,” said Councilwoman Kathleen Vermillion.

Plans for the new year are plentiful among Sunrise- and Whitney-area residents. One of the most common resolutions is to improve health. Jeannie McKinnon is no exception. “I just have the usual goals this year,” said McKinnon, a recreation specialist at the Robert E “Bob” Price Recreation Center, 2050 Bonnie Lane. “Everybody is trying to get healthy.”
