NFL loosens broadcast restrictions on Raiders’ Tom Brady

The NFL is loosening up its broadcast restrictions on Raiders minority owner Tom Brady.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback and lead analyst for Fox will be allowed to virtually sit in on production meetings with coaches and players during the 2025 season, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
That’s an adjustment to the rules Brady had to follow last year, his first with Fox. He previously wasn’t allowed to attend production meetings either remotely or in person after he became a minority owner of the Raiders, because other owners were concerned he could use his access to glean information on the team’s upcoming opponents.
Brady, 48, still cannot attend team practices. He was allowed to take part in production meetings leading up to Super Bowl 59 in February, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said before the game the league’s guidelines for Brady could change in the future.
Brady has had a considerable influence on the Raiders since being approved as a minority owner in October 2024. He helped spur the team’s busy offseason, which included hiring coach Pete Carroll and trading for quarterback Geno Smith. The Raiders also hired general manager John Spytek, Brady’s former college teammate at Michigan and someone he previously worked with during his time with the Buccaneers.
Brady has shown up to more and more practices in recent months. Carroll said his presence has been felt by the Raiders.
“It is hard to describe,” Carroll said. “He is a great asset to us, and I cannot say enough about that.”
