Black Crowes are back, but without a new disc

A few years back, near the end of a lengthy tour, Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman didn’t know when the group would take flight again.

“We’re all feeling a little burnt,” he told the Review-Journal shortly before the band went on an indefinite hiatus. “We can always get it back together when everyone’s ready. There’s no reason to push this thing to the point where we kind of forget how special this is.”

Memories still intact, the Crowes are back.

They don’t have a new record, but they don’t really need one: The way the flammable blues rockers set fire to their catalog onstage, even the most familiar songs still burn plenty hot.
