Citadel Broadcasting plans special award

Citadel Broadcasting Corp., a Las Vegas-based AM and FM radio broadcaster, said its board declared a special cash distribution of $2.46 a share hinging on the close of its planned merger with ABC Radio Holdings.

In a statement, Citadel said the amount will be payable to shareholders of record as of the second trading day before the deal's close.

The company said it expects to record date to be June 8. The company expects the merger to close on June 12.

Kolesar & Leatham, a Las Vegas law firm, named Matthew Christian attorney.
